RFID technology is used all around us in many different business.
RFID stands for Radio-frequency identification which is an automatic method that uses radio waves to identify people or objects. This technology is similar to the bar code system that we see in many products with a difference, it doesn´t require line-of-sight for communication.
This technology can be used in many different businesses, including hospitals. RFID can be used to prevent counterfeiting, track supply chains and help companies track their goods in a better way than by using bar codes.
To learn all about RFID technology, there´s a good course from Abhisam Software which is now being offered at a discounted price of just $ 69 US. This RFID training course can be downloaded directly to the learner's PC which enables users to learn at their own pace.

Have they made it secure enough in the past days? I remember a story about a guy who made small device in his garage which could read those RFID chips easily... There was even a demonstration where he passes by other guy who has RFID chip in his pants which unlocks the whole building.. He reads it easily by passing him and then enters the building easily... Wasn't following that technology lately but i do agree that it has many possible uses...
